Canal Cruising, Stone Boatyard
NEW TRIPLE PUMP OUT SYSTEM
FOR HISTORIC STONE BOATYARD (STAFFS)
Replacing the well-used, vintage Pump Out Wagon, a new, triple position pump out system has just been installed at the historic Stone (Staffs) Boatyard, Canal Cruising Club.
Until recently, this task, including servicing the company’s hire fleet, was carried out using an ageing tanker.
The new system features a custom-built pump house which contains the LeeSan LS30T Peristaltic pump, control system and the manifolds, pipework and valves.12 metres of suction hose and a 20 metre extension are also included.
Three Pump Out connection points have been installed. Wall mounted connection installed on the side of the pump house, one on the wall of the Drydock and one (freestanding) on the canal side which all include 15 metre run for ease of use by boatyard residents or passing craft.
These all feature the now famous (and universally accepted as standard) LeeSan ISO pump nozzle with its double “O” ring seal system which, when used in conjunction with the appropriate deck fitting, enables a completely “hand free”, simple and clean operation. These are all mounted on low maintenance, stainless steel units. At each point there is means of starting and stopping the pump system.
So now, even though the boatyard may look picturesque and historic, the LeeSan Pump Out System is bang up-to-date!
